The Easiest Low Carb Maryland Style Old Bay Shrimp Recipe

Nothing beats a healthy shrimp recipe on summer days, well besides a keto Maryland style old Bay shrimp recipe.

The Old Bay is a perfect blend of herbs and spices for seafood and just about everything else, but still approved for your Keto diet menu.

If you are from Maryland you already know, if you aren’t, trust me us Marylanders know how to do seafood.

The ingredients for this low carb shrimp recipe are very simple, 32 oz of peeled and deveined shrimp, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of Old Bay Seasoning and half of a freshly squeezed lemon.

Ideally, it’s best to use fresh shrimp when possible, but you can also use already peeled and deveined shrimp in the frozen section of most grocery stores.

You will want the shrimp to be thawed out before you start following the recipe.

If you live in Maryland or it’s surrounding states you can probably just buy the Old Bay seasoning at your local grocery store in the aisle with spices, if not you can buy Old Bay Seasoning here on Amazon.

Trust me you will use it for more than just this recipe, it is also great for any seafood recipes, tuna salad, chicken salad, Old Bay and butter chicken wings are also delicious.

Once your shrimp are thawed, peeled and deveined (if you buy them frozen you might as well buy the ones that are already peeled and deveined for you) add all the ingredients to a bowl or even a gallon plastic bag and toss until the shrimp are evenly coated.

In a large skillet cook the shrimp on medium-high heat until the shrimp turn an orange-ish pink color and are no longer that gray translucent color.

I prefer to serve my Keto Shrimp with a side of melted butter and old bay for dipping.

Another option is to serve them over zoodles and even add a homemade Keto Alfredo Sauce. If I do zoodles then to keep things simple I buy the Green Giant frozen zoodles because spiraling your own zucchini is just too much work!
