The Best Zero Carbs Fried Shrimp with Spicy Bang Bang Sauce

I’ve been on a hunt for the best shrimp recipe, but the real struggle was how to make fried shrimp without breadcrumbs?!

Of course, using almond flour was a no-brainer, but regular panko defiantly won’t fit on my keto diet menu.

I’ve recently discovered Pork Panko, which is the star of this zero carbs fried shrimp recipe.

How to make fried shrimp without breadcrumbs?

I’ve loved fried shrimp since I was a little kid. I mean like I’d probably order a shrimp appetizer with a shrimp basket for my entree with no shame in my game!😜

The really good news is that on a Keto diet there are really great substitutes for ingredients like flour and breadcrumbs that are the main ingredients needed to make fried foods.

If you Keto you probably already have almond flour in your pantry and if you don’t you should! I use Now Foods Raw Almond Flour it’s 100% pure, unblanched, gluten-free, and low in carbs, making it a healthy, and tasty alternative to bleached white flour. It’s a staple ingredient in a lot of keto desserts and other recipes.

The Secret Ingredient in Fried Keto recipes!

Now my new discovery that really made these fried shrimp the best shrimp recipe is Pork Panko, made exclusively from finely ground pork rinds.😍 Making it the perfect replacement for panko breadcrumbs in really any recipe.

I have so many recipes I want to make with it, fried chicken, fried pickles, fried zucchini ALL THE FRIED FOODS!

The pork panko gave the shrimp a perfectly crispy crust without being too crunchy or flaking off during the assembly and cooking process. If I hadn’t told you it wasn’t actually bread crumbs you would have never known!

Since the pork panko is made from pork rinds it has zero carbs which are what makes this “zero carb” fried shrimp.😳

You can literally eat the whole pound of shrimp by yourself for only 2.2 Net Carbs, I mean if that isn’t the best news you heard all day I dunno what could be better?!

You Can’t have Fried Shrimp without something to dip them in!

To be honest, I’m usually a ketchup dipper 🙈 lol, but I thought I could give ya’ll something a little better than Keto ketchup! So I made a Keto friendly version of the copycat recipe for Bang bang shrimp sauce.

Have you ever had bang bang shrimp from Bone Fish? Well its like a sweet and spicy mayonnaise based dipping sauce that is perfect with shrimp! It usually has sweet chili sauce which is a little higher in carbs, so I found a way around it! I posted that recipe below too!

Ketogenic Diet Macros

I have found that most people starting out on Keto don't realize that you should be counting Net Carbs when following a Keto Diet. So when you look at the nutrition label you subtract Fiber from the Total Carbs and that equals Net Carbs

Each shrimp is .1 net carbs, a half pound of shrimp would be about 1.1 net carbs
