5 Minute Juicy Air Fryer Strawberries with cinnamon - Easy Low Carb Dessert

Air fryer strawberries with cinnamon and “sugar” as seen on Tik Tok! Unlike dehydrated strawberries, these juicy air fryer strawberries with cinnamon only take 5 minutes to make, are delicious on their own, or can easily be turned into a yummy low-carb dessert with keto-friendly ice cream or whipped topping.

I don’t know about you but I have a serious sweet tooth and avoiding desserts is just not an option, so if you are following a Keto Diet or just trying to live a healthy lifestyle you have to have some sugar-free dessert recipes to enjoy. These air fryer strawberries with cinnamon are delicious on their own or can easily be turned into a yummy low-carb dessert with keto-friendly ice cream or whipped topping.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR MAKING JUICY STRAWBERRIES IN THE AIR FRYER:

• Air Fryer- This is the air fryer I have and LOVE. The basket area is bigger than the ones I’ve used in the past, which makes it so much easier when you’re not having to cook in extra small batches that double the amount of cooking time. And it’s much easier to clean.

• Lakanto Monk fruit Sweeter (or your favorite sugar alternative)- Lakanto Monk Fruit Granulated Sweetener is my go-to sweetener because it doesn’t have that weird after taste, it’s a 1:1 sugar replacement so it’s easy to swap out in any recipe and it doesn’t leave a grainy texture when mixed into sauces or batters. (you can use code MERMAID to save when you shop from Lakanto’s website)

• Coconut Oil Spray- This is the brand I used. when making desserts I prefer to use coconut oil spray rather than avocado or olive oil.

• Organic Strawberries- Strawberries are one of the fruits that you should prioritize buying organic, check out the list of produce and fruits you do and don’t need to buy organic so you can save money when shopping.

• Ground Cinnamon

HOW TO PREPARE STRAWBERRIES FOR AIR FRYING

Of course, you’ll want to wash your fresh strawberries off and then you can either just cut the tops off or you can use a straw to perfectly push the stems out.

To do this you will start pushing the tip of the straw into the strawberry from the end without the green stem. If you push the straw through the strawberry towards the end with the green stem it will hollow out the strawberry perfectly.

Once all the stems are removed, you simply toss the strawberries in cinnamon and usage/or your favorite sugar alternative and then they are ready to put into the airfryer.

HOW TO DEHYDRATE STRAWBERRIES IN THE AIR FRYER

Yes, you can also use an air fryer to dehydrate strawberries or many other fruits too. Place the sliced-up strawberries inside of the air fryer and cook at 180-200 degrees F for 1 hour. Flipping them over about halfway through. Remove them from the air fryer once the strawberries are totally dried out. Add them to trail mixes, or other snacks and desserts.
