The Easiest Keto Jalapeno Poppers Recipe
It took me several weeks to figure out how to follow a Ketogenic diet without straying from my keto diet meal plan due to my love for snacking and inability to break my habits of the “SeeFood and eat it” diet I was able to maintain throughout high school without gaining a pound!😠 #AdultingSucks
I’m guilty of associating a diet with only eating bland foods that I don’t enjoy, but what I realized is that’s not the case with a keto diet menu.
We can have high-fat meals packed with flavor. Every week I pick out an appetizer, dinner or dessert I’ve been craving and make a Keto version of that recipe!
This week the hubby and I made easy keto jalapeño poppers with bacon. You might also be surprised by the jalapeño health benefits and how easy it is to make jalapeño poppers.

I had no idea that jalapeños are jam-packed with vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. 🌶
When I think of vitamin C I think of oranges, but I didn’t realize jalapeños contain a lot of Vitamin C and vitamin B6, which helps your body fight free radicals and promotes healthy, firm skin.
Ok, ladies don’t go rubbing jalapeño on your face that might not turn out well just make this recipe every day!😂
Jalapeños apparently can promote weight loss too. They contain capsaicin which can boost your metabolism by 4-5%. I mean obviously eating this one recipe isn’t going to have a massive impact on your metabolism, but still good to know!
One raw jalapeño contains:
- Fiber: 0.4 grams
- Vitamin C: 10% of the RDI
- Vitamin B6: 4% of the RDI
- Vitamin A: 2% of the RDI
- Vitamin K: 2% of the RDI
- Folate: 2% of the RDI
- Manganese: 2% of the RDI
Also, the hot flavor of jalapenos may decrease your appetite, and after trying this recipe you won't feel inclined to eat more.
I think my sensor telling my body I'm full is broken. Even after eating a big meal I could still keep eating. However, I do notice that after eating a spicy meal I typically don't have the desire to continue eating,😜 so I'm going to say "jalapeños decrease your appetite" is true!
Ketogenic Diet Macros
I have found that most people starting out on keto don't realize that you should be counting Net Carbs when following a Keto Diet. So when you look at the nutrition label you subtract Fiber from the Total Carbs and that equals Net Carbs.
How many carbs are in a jalapeno?🤔 Each jalapeno is only .6g Net Carbs, so if you love the heat you can eat all the jalapenos every damn day!
Nutritional Information based on 20 Jalapeno poppers :
1 jalapeno popper:
- 52.8 calories
- 4.4 g fat
- .9 Net Carb
- .2 fiber
- 2.5 g protein

Keto jalapeño Poppers with Bacon
Recipe makes 20 jalapeño poppers
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
What you'll need:
- 4 pieces of thick cut bacon
- 4 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces of plain cream cheese, softened
- 10 jalapeños
How to do it:
- If you haven't already, bake 4 pieces of bacon and shred 4 oz of cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Mix cheddar cheese and cream cheese (we used our hands to mix ;) )
- Crumble or chop 4 pieces of bacon and mix into cheese mixture
- Cut jalapeños in half, remove seeds and ribs
- Stuff jalapeños halves with bacon and cheese mixture, evenly distributing the filling between all 20 halves
- Bake for 10 minutes
